Angered Residents would like local fair movedalt

Angered residents of Castle Street, Hamilton are pushing the council for a direct answer to find a new location for the town’s fun fair.

The past two years residents in Campbell Close and Castle Street have been complaining to both the council and the police as the noise and safety issues associated with the fair.

Quite frankly everyone is getting pretty fed up and would like for the site to be moved. The rides were initially situated at the Palace Grounds Retail Park, it was then moved as an £1 per day car park was built on the site.

It moved beside ASDA and then had to be re situated as the new Frankie’s and Benny's was given permission to go-ahead.

Residents claim that the fair, which is practically on their door step, is an eyesore as well as a safety hazard from the noise of the generators to the setting up of the equipment as it is delivered in arctic lorries which cause obstructions on the road for other users.
