St Johnstone 1 Hamilton Accies 0
After surviving for 3 years, Hamilton Accies run in the premier league has unfortunately come to an end.
Their fate was confirmed at McDiarmid Park last night after Accies failed to get a result against St Johnstone.
The only goal to be scored during the game was from Liam Craig who scored from the penalty spot after Mark McLaughlin pulled down Andy Jackson and was red carded in the 28th minute.
Accies keeper Tomas Cerny saved them from further punishment during the second half when another penalty was awarded to the Saints, which midfielder Liam Craig was unable to get passed the Accies keeper.
St Mirren managed to pick up 3 points after defeating Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium with Wardlaw scoring the winner to secure St Mirren’s place in the Clydesdale SPL next season.
